Hello, my name is Rachel and I’m an artist from New York City. I have been creating since my earliest memories. Whether I was engineering something useful from paperbags, or repurposing garments, I was always busy. I found myself drawing and coloring the things I could see around me. But I also had a gift to see things that I only I could imagine. This would sometimes astound the adults; some of whom declared I would be an ‘artist one day’. I always wanted the experience and prestige of a prominent art school but life took me in other directions. I am a self-taught artist with over 40 years of experience, awards and mentorships with many other professional artists.

I love how my art impacts and uplifts others. I just feel compelled to always create new work and try out new mediums. Besides capturing the world around me, I strive to capture the deeply personal space of dreams.

Art is something that has to be expressed. Art is something the world needs. It cannot be replaced with anything else. We are creatives and it’s our duty to share what we have created.
